What is an Oshi mat?

Oshi mat is an environment friendly, recyclable, easy to clean, non – toxic foam mat designed for infants. It is made 100% of Thermal Plastic Elastomer (TPE); which means, it is 100% PVC and Latex FREE! Numerous reports have noted that PVC is hazardous to our health and our environment and Latex is –unfortunately- commonly associated with allergies.
Oshi mat has a wide range of uses ranging from developmental classes –like music class, mom and baby stimulation class-, to a travel mat, changing mat, play-date mat, outing mat, tummy time mat and many more!
It is light weight, water repellant, and cold resistant. Because it is moisture free, it does not allow bacteria to store. Oshi mat's density and material provide excellent comfort and support for your baby.

Tell me more about my Oshi mat's textures

Everything on your Oshi mat was created with a lot of thought and a lot of love, even its texture! On the bottom of your mat, you will notice ridges that form a pretty neat design. These ridges are the ones responsible for keeping your mat steady on the surface you lay it on and creating that fabulous anti skid quality! On the top of your mat, you will find one of our 4 beautiful designs on a smooth surface. The smooth surface gives your mat that incredible softness that everyone loves! Our new and improved Oshi mats will be equipped with tiny pinholes (almost invisible to the human eye) on the top and on the bottom. The pinholes were strategically placed to form line designs. The pinholes are an added bonus to our no bacteria philosophy! If your mat ever gets wet, our tiny pinholes will speed up the drying time.

How do I shape my Oshi mat?

Your Oshi mat is made 100% of TPE, which is a very flexible foam material. You can always mold your mat back to its original shape! We highly suggest to ALWAYS roll your Oshi mat image side OUT before inserting it in its Oshi bag. When your Oshi mat is rolled in this manner, the ends of the mat will automatically adhere to the floor or carpet. If you notice the ends of the Oshi mat lifting when it is laid on a hard surface, simply roll the mat image side OUT for a few minutes until it molds back to its original shape.
If you notice that the ends of the Oshi mat are rolled too much inward, simply roll the mat image side IN for a few minutes until it molds back to its original shape.

Can I step on my Oshi mat with shoes on?

Although Oshi mat can be stepped on, the mat is not intended to be used with shoes on. Oshi mat is a clean surface for babies and we highly motivate you to maintain your Oshi clean for your infant. If your Oshi mat is stepped on with shoes, simply clean the surface with a disinfecting wipe and then pat it with a humid paper-towel all over the surface to remove excess disinfecting solution. Allow Oshi mat to air dry for a couple of minutes before inserting it back into its Oshi bag.

Does my Oshi mat absorb odors?

If any odor is absorbed by your Oshi mat (i.e. perfume, food, etc), the odor will disappear soon after. *NOTE: You might notice a particular odor from your newly purchased Oshi mat. The scent is completely normal of foam and/or printed products. Please allow your Oshi mat to air for the first few days and the odor will dissipate.
